Pelvic Floor Therapy & Rehabilitation
Restore strength. Rebuild confidence.
Return to performance.
At Verro, we approach pelvic health through the lens of movement science and performance, not just symptom management. Understanding the interconnectedness of your pelvic floor can illuminate how symptoms seemingly unrelated (like jaw tightness, constipation, or hip pain) can be traced back to pelvic dysfunction.
Pelvic floor therapy is specialized physical therapy focused on the muscles, connective tissue, and nervous system that support your bladder, bowel, reproductive organs, and core. Whether you're postpartum, navigating pelvic pain, experiencing leaking during workouts, or rebuilding after injury, we create a clear path back to strength.
Athletes & Pelvic Floor Health
Athletes are particularly susceptible to pelvic floor issues due to repetitive, high-impact movements or the intensive demands of their sports. Issues like persistent lower-back or hip discomfort can be mistakenly attributed to routine training soreness or fatigue.
Activities that commonly trigger pelvic floor dysfunction:
Long-distance running
High-intensity workouts (CrossFit, HIIT)
Gymnastics and dance
Competitive weightlifting or powerlifting
Sports involving repetitive jumping or abrupt directional changes (tennis, basketball, volleyball)
The Verro Difference
Most pelvic floor clinics focus on isolated exercises. We don’t stop there. At Verro, we take an integrated approach to pelvic floor therapy that combines strength training principles, breathing mechanics, load management, nervous system regulation, and real-world movement patterns
This means: You don’t just feel better on the table. You move better in life.
Verro continues to have the best pelvic floor specialists I’ve ever worked with.
What sets them apart is their highly individualized, caring approach & science-based answers, ensuring I am confident in my care.

What Is The Pelvic Floor?
Your pelvic floor is a powerful yet often overlooked system at the core of your body's health. When this intricate system faces dysfunction, the effects ripple through your entire body.
Comprised of a complex hammock of muscles, your pelvic floor supports essential internal organs, including your bladder, uterus or prostate, diaphragm (for breathing), lumbar spine, and pelvis, and plays a vital role in sexual function and overall bodily stability.
It can develop from stress, lifestyle factors, traumatic events, or subtle imbalances in movement patterns. Many people unknowingly adapt to their symptoms without understanding the underlying cause.
Common Pelvic Floor Symptoms
Many women assume symptoms are “normal.” They’re common. Not normal.
Urine leakage
Overactive bladder
Difficulties fully emptying your bladder
Chronic lower back, hip, or knee pain
Persistent constipation
GI/digestive issues

Pelvic Floor Therapy
-
A pelvic floor therapist is an orthopedic therapist who has had special training in the anatomy and physiology of the pelvis and how its internal organs relate to posture and everyday functions.
Therapy starts with a comprehensive evaluation that allows the therapist to understand your story, the specific problems you are experiencing, and get to the root of the problem.
From there, a custom treatment program is established to help restore function where there has been a disruption in the pelvic floor and reconnect proper alignment to improve quality of life and return to physical activities.
-
Pelvic floor therapy helps individuals experiencing:
Urinary urgency, frequency, or leakage
Pelvic pain, pressure, or prolapse
Pain with intimacy
