Frequently Asked Questions

General

  • Verro isn’t a traditional gym or a standard PT clinic, it’s a performance studio built from the ground up for precision training and recovery.

Personal training isn’t an add-on here, it’s the foundation. Every square foot is designed for one-on-one work: no crowded floors, no waiting for equipment, no distractions.

Our physical therapy model is just as focused. You’ll never be passed off to an aide or handed a generic exercise sheet. Every session is one-on-one with a licensed therapist who tailors your treatment to how your body actually moves and heals.

This seamless integration of high-level training and evidence-based therapy helps you move better, recover faster, and perform at your best.

  • That’s what we do best. Many clients transition between therapy and training (or do both simultaneously) to move from recovery into peak performance safely and efficiently.

  • No. Verro is a private training and physical therapy studio. Every visit is one-on-one to maintain the highest level of care and precision.

Personal Training

  • Verro is for anyone who wants to train intelligently and efficiently, whether you’re a beginner, a parent, a busy professional, or a competitive athlete. If you value progress without injury and want structure, accountability, and measurable results, this is your place.

  • No. If you're an experienced trainee or want to train on your own between sessions, we can build programs for you to train at home, a hotel, or anywhere else. But Verro is for 1-on-1 personal training and physical therapy clients.

  • Training runs in 6-week progressive cycles tailored to your goals. Every session is tracked using Verro’s proprietary data system, logging sets, reps, weight, range of motion, bar speed, and RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion). We use these metrics to reassess and evolve your training continuously for maximum progress.

  • We’ll tailor your training to match your personal goals, lifestyle, and limitations to help you:

    • Build lean muscle

    • Improve mobility and flexibility

    • Gain strength and power

    • Reduce pain through corrective exercise

    • Enhance longevity and overall health

  • Most of our clients train 2–3 times per week, depending on their schedule and goals. We’ll recommend a cadence that balances progress with recovery and fits your lifestyle.

  • Each personal training session lasts approximately 60 minutes. Sessions are carefully structured to give you the most value and progress in that time

  • Your first session will include a movement assessment, discussion of your goals, and an introduction to how we train at Verro. You’ll likely go through a tailored workout so we can start building your program based on how you move and respond.

Once you buy a package, you can book on our website, from our membership app, or by phone (text or call)

Pregnancy and Postpartum

  • Pregnancy physical therapy supports your body through every trimester and helps prepare you for birth and recovery. We focus on strengthening key muscle groups like the core, glutes, and pelvic floor while also improving mobility and flexibility to reduce strain and discomfort. Sessions include birth preparation strategies that may help minimize perineal tearing, decreasing pushing time during labor, and support a smoother postpartum recovery. Our approach balances strength and relaxation techniques to help you feel more confident, informed, and in control of your birthing experience.

  • Yes. Prenatal physical therapy is safe and beneficial for managing pain, posture, and preparing for birth. Women can start during any trimester including when trying to conceive.

  • Typically around 6 weeks postpartum, or earlier with medical clearance. We address any areas of pain, assessing for diastasis recti, C-section scar mobility, pelvic health, and how to safely return to exercise/high impact activities.

  • Physical Therapy after a C-section supports healing, mobility, and long term core strength. We address scar tissue mobility, core and pelvic floor retraining, and posture restoration to reduce pain, prevent compensations, and support a safe return to daily activities and exercise. PT also focuses on reconnecting with deep abdominal muscles, improving breathing patterns, and managing symptoms like back pain or pelvic heaviness. Whether your C-section was planned or emergent, we create a personalized plan to help you feel strong, confident, and supported in your recovery.

Pelvic Floor Therapy

  • Pelvic floor therapy is physical therapy that treats disorders that are often related to the pelvis. Several common examples include, but are not limited to: incontinence (urinary leakage), Uterine prolapse, sexual pain or discomfort, low back/tailbone pain, and nerve injuries.

Treatments may include manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic exercise, relaxation and breathing techniques, as well as strengthening.

  • A pelvic floor therapist is an orthopedic therapist who has had special training in the anatomy and physiology of the pelvis and how its internal organs relate to posture and everyday functions.

Therapy starts with a comprehensive evaluation that allows the therapist to understand your story, the specific problems you are experiencing, and get to the root of the problem.

From there, a custom treatment program is established to help restore function where there has been a disruption in the pelvic floor and reconnect proper alignment to improve quality of life and return to physical activities.

  • Pelvic floor therapy helps individuals experiencing:

    • Urinary urgency, frequency, or leakage

    • Pelvic pain, pressure, or prolapse

    • Pain with intimacy

    • Constipation or bowel issues

    • Pregnancy or postpartum changes

    • Tailbone or lower back pain
